Turkish President Recep Erdogan went on a sexist rant at—of all places—a women's conference in Istanbul. "You cannot put women and men on an equal footing," he said. "It is against nature." Erdogan added that women can't do men's work because of their "delicate nature," and claimed that feminists "reject motherhood." The president has previously said all women should have three children in an attempt to appeal to more religious supporters, at the expense of secular citizens.
