Can't say we didn't see this coming. Two and a Half Men cocreator Lee Arohnson has come under fire for his misogynist remarks at last weekend's Toronto Screenwriting Conference. Arohnson told The Hollywood Reporter that he was tired of all the female-centric sitcoms on TV today. "Enough ladies," Arohnson said. "I get it. You have periods." He then stuck his foot further in his mouth, adding, "we're approaching peak vagina on television, the point of labia saturation." Lizz Winstead, creator of The Daily Show, linked to the interview on Twitter with a snide reply: "You realize that if we are at peak vagina, the prices at the pump are gonna skyrocket." Another critic pointed out that more than half of his advertisers were women. Arohnson subsequently apologized on Twitter for his "stupid joke."
