Two cruise-ship passengers fell overboard in Australia on Wednesday night, and authorities were still searching one day later for the missing couple. New South Wales police superintendent Mark Hutchings said surveillance footage showed that a 30-year-old man and 26-year-old fell from the ship’s mid-deck when the ship was about 65 miles out to sea. “We’re holding out hope we might be able to find these people alive,” Hutchings said. Investigators are currently watching the video to see if the couple fell or jumped overboard, although no life preservers were missing, making it unlikely that one had jumped to try to rescue the other.
