Two players for the Super Bowl-winning New England Patriots have said they plan on skipping the team’s eventual visit to the White House for its victory celebration. Defensive back Devin McCourty told Time that he wouldn’t “feel accepted” at the White House because President Donald Trump has “so many strong opinions and prejudices.” After the team’s victory on Sunday night against the Atlanta Falcons, tight end Marcellus Bennett—who endorsed Hillary Clinton and was a fierce critic of Trump—said he would not show up. Patriots owner Robert Kraft, quarterback Tom Brady, and coach Bill Belichick, however, are all known to be friends with Trump.
