Don't be so quick to hang your sneakers up, Wendy. In Texas, the attorney general has requested an emergency ruling be granted by a federal appeals court judge. It would allow the state to enforce an anti-abortion law that was deemed unconstitutional by a lower court on Monday. The law, which was signed by Gov. Rick Perry in July after a 11-hour filibuster by Sen. Wendy Davis, requires abortion-performing doctors to have admitting privileges at a hospital within a 30-mile range of the clinics they use. Abortion activists say that 22,000 women will be denied abortions if the law goes into effect.
