Uber Backs Out of Kansas To Avoid Rules

Getting outta Dodge.

Uber has immediately stopped operations in Kansas after the Senate approved a bill imposing regulations on the ride-hailing app. The mobile application simply stated: "No pickups: effective immediately" on Tuesday. The measure would require drivers to undergo Kansas Bureau of Investigation background checks as well as acquiring additional auto insurance coverage.
