Scotland Yard is so good at playing it cool that no one knew it had intercepted an attack on the royal wedding's official website—or that a 16-year-old had been detained just over a month ago in relation to the attempted attack. It was only after a detective let slip about the incident in passing during a cybersecurity conference in London on Tuesday that it came to light. Questioned further about the attack, the detective declined to comment, but one anonymous spokesman for the Yard said the teenager has been released on bail and has not been charged.
