UK to Seize Teen Extremists‘ Passports

British prime minister David Cameron announced an expanded plan to combat Islamic extremism among youth Monday, including an expansion of passport confiscation provisions that will now allow the government to ground 16- and 17-year-olds as well as younger teens. "The stakes are rising and that demands a new approach," Cameron said. "So we have a choice — do we choose to turn a blind eye or do we choose to get out there and make the case for our British values?" The government will also funnel an extra $7.7 million this year to "moderate" Muslim groups.
