The United Nations’ human-rights chief on Friday praised the embrace of ethnic diversity in ISIS-held territories, calling it a “most terrible irony.” Zeid Raad al-Hussein, the first Arab or Muslim to hold that post, made the comments during a special meeting on human-rights abuses. He also called ISIS an “abomination” and supported referring its actions to the International Criminal Court.
