A Saudi-led coalition has killed 109 Yemeni civilians in the past 10 days, the United Nations' top coordinator in Yemen announced Thursday. The military coalition that includes the U.S. and Britain launched airstrikes that reportedly killed 54 and injured another 32 in a crowded market on Tuesday. Among the dead were eight children. Coalition airstrikes also reportedly killed 14 members of the same family on their farm on Tuesday. The U.N. coordinator, Jamie McGoldrick said the deaths and injuries "prove the complete disregard for human life that all parties, including the Saudi-led coalition, continue to show in this absurd war that has only resulted in the destruction of the country and the incommensurate suffering of its people." The coalition accused McGoldrick of bias and using unproven information.
