Union Rallies Ignite Across U.S.

Wisconsin’s epic battle over an anti-union bill has quickly spread across the country. On Saturday, there were planned rallies in all 50 states in support of Wisconsin’s protesters, who are defying a state bill that would strip unions of their collective bargaining rights. In Madison, the cradle of the contentious issue, at least 70,000 citizens turned out to rage against the idea—the capital’s largest crowd yet. In Ohio, whose legislature has taken up a similar proposal, a crowd of thousands gathered.
