Excited about today's decent jobs report? This will temper your enthusiasm. There are more unemployed young adults in the U.S. than in much of Europe, according to new figures. In fact, the U.S. currently has the lowest share of employed 25- to 34-year-olds among large, affluent economies—a "historic turnaround," one economist tells The New York Times in a piece titled "The Idled Young Americans." Experts say the reversal stems from the fact that youths in the U.S. have been particularly hard hit by the country’s lack of new jobs over the past 12 years.
