U.S. Orders Staffers of Somalia Mission Out Over Threat

All non-essential members of the U.S. mission to Somalia have been ordered to leave the capital, Mogadishu, due to “specific threat information” against them. A statement released Saturday said the threat relates to Mogadishu International Airport but gave no further details. The warning comes a day after the U.S. carried out its first airstrikes against ISIS fighters in Somalia, and just a few weeks after more than 350 people were killed in a massive truck bombing in the capital.
