The U.S. hit North Korea with new financial sanctions on Tuesday over its alleged arms proliferation. The sanctions were aimed at the Hermit Kingdom's Strategic Rocket Force, two banks and three shipping companies allegedly linked to the country's arms trade, the U.S. Treasury said. Several other countries and the UN have already imposed sanctions on North Korea. The Strategic Rocket Force is accused of perfoming several missile tests while the shipping companies allegedly transported illicit arms.
