U.S. to Issue Travel Warning

Americans should avoid European tourist spots.

As terrorist threats against Europe continue to intensify, the Obama administration is expected to issue a warning that will instruct U.S. travelers in Europe to avoid locales frequented by other Westerners. The alert, which is pending approval from Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, follows new intelligence that suggests that al Qaeda is behind the plot—and an attack could be imminent. Osama bin Laden has reportedly blessed the attacks, which are past the planning and surveillance stages and ready for deployment, according to ABC News. The attacks are expected to be in the style of 2008's Mumbai attacks; they could include open fire at airports or other tourist attractions, intelligence officials tell ABC News.
