Twenty million people tuned in to the British Broadcasting Corp.’s coverage of 9.63 seconds that again redefined notions of how fast the human leg can move. The BBC’s ratings for Usain Bolt’s record-breaking 100-meter sprint Sunday were the highest for any 2012 Olympic event so far, discounting the opening ceremonies. The next-closest event was Mo Farah’s gold-medal performance Saturday in the 10,000m run, which drew 17.1 million to the BBC’s coverage. Bolt will next compete in the 200m race.
