George Huguely, a lacrosse player at the University of Virginia, has been arrested in the murder of Yeardley Love, a senior at the university who also played lacrosse for the women’s team. Love’s body was discovered in an off-campus apartment and showed signs of physical trauma, though the cause of death has not been released. Huguely, who is charged with first-degree murder, attended high school at the Landon School in Bethesda, Maryland.
UPDATE: This item originally suggested a connection between the Landon School and Duke lacrosse players who were accused of rape and neglected to report that all charges against Duke players were subsequently dropped.
