An avalanche in Colorado's popular skiing area of East Vail killed one and injured three others on Tuesday morning. Emergency crews extracted the victims, who were together in a group, from the mountain. The skier who died was reported by local media to be Anthony Seibert, the 24-year-old grandson of Vail Mountain resort founder Pete Seibert. On Sunday, two similar slides were triggered by backcountry skiers in the East Vail Chutes, partially burying one skier but leading to no fatalities.
