Veselnitskaya: Don Jr. Probed Me for Russian Dirt on Hillary

The Russian lawyer who held a secret meeting with Jared Kushner, Donald Trump Jr., and Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort has described the events of that day in New York’s Trump Tower for the first time. Natalia Veselnitskaya told NBC News that Don Jr. probed her for intelligence that would damage Hillary Clinton, but she denies telling them that she had any information about the Democrat’s campaign. “It is quite possible that maybe they were longing for such an information. They wanted it so badly that they could only hear the thought that they wanted,” she told NBC News. She said it was Trump’s son who was leading the conversation. “The question that I was asked was as follows: whether I had any financial records which might prove that the funds used to sponsor the [Democratic National Committee] were coming from inappropriate sources,” she said.
