Wine tasters today announced that the Champagne found at the bottom of the ocean is still drinkable—good, actually—after hundreds of years underwater. The chill of the depths and the dark kept fresh what might have been the King’s drinking supply. Experts believe that the Champagne is actually Veuve Clicquot, Moet & Chandon having been the primary manufacturer at the time the ship would have gone down. If it’s indeed determined to be King Louis XVI's, it may go for millions of dollars at auction.
