Jason Brian Dalton appeared in court Monday afternoon after being arrested for a string of three shootings that left six people dead in Kalamazoo, Michigan, over the weekend. Dalton is a registered Uber driver who allegedly picked up customers in between the shootings. As his charges were read to him by a judge, Dalton remained stone-faced even as the names of victims—some of whom were children—were listed off. When asked if he wanted to say anything, Dalton said "I prefer to remain silent."
