Vine
For those still reeling from the shuttering of popular social-media app Vine late last year, relief might be on the way. The short-form video platform’s founder announced on Twitter that he is working on a Vine 2. “I’m going to work on a follow-up to vine,” Dom Hoffman wrote. “I’ve been feeling it myself for some time and have seen a lot of tweets, dms, etc.” He added: “I’m funding it myself as an outside project, so it doesn’t interfere with the (quite exciting) work we’re doing at the company, which is my first priority.” Vine’s operations were discontinued in October 2016 and an archive of all Vine videos were made available to users by January 2017.
