As cupid at Loulou de la Falaise’s opening night party of Le Palace, Paris, 1978. “On opening night, Edwige was painted completely silver. She was nude on top with nothing but a little skirt to cover her lower extremities. And she had this bow and arrow that she was pulling,” Roxanne Lowit says of the party.

Anton Perich, who photographed many nights at Studio 54, describes the atmosphere to Thomas Persson: “A highly charged atmosphere where hundreds of men and women have the same thing on their minds, a kind of primitive herd behavior. Enormous piles of the white substance, it looked as if it snowed indoors. You could make a snowman. The air itself was intoxicating. You could smell sex.”
