Kim Jong-un is getting a lesson on how the Internet works. Last week, a student in China put together this video depicting the North Korean leader’s head superimposed over the bodies of people dancing, fighting and participating in Jackass-style pranks. Needless to say it’s going viral. Also needless to say, Kim is not happy about it.
According to Korean news site, the Chosun Ilbo, North Korean officials claim the video ‘seriously compromises Kim’s dignity and authority,’ and want the video removed from the Internet. Obviously, that’s just not going to happen.
On one hand, it’s a fair claim; the video shows things like Kim getting served by President Obama in a dance-off, and walking hand-in-hand with Osama bin Laden.
On the other hand, it’s hard to be sympathetic towards the dignity of a world leader who has invited Dennis Rodman to his country on several occasions.
