It's time for an abortion regulation makeover in Virginia, says Gov. Terry McAuliffe, who ordered the Board of Health to review strict rules on clinics that were imposed last year. In attempting to conform to the new hospital-level building standards, some of the state's 18 abortion clinics say they might be driven out of business. McAuliffe says the current regulations will "place in jeopardy the health and reproductive rights of Virginia women." The review will take place on June 5, but the process could take more than two years.
