A newly released voicemail left by Sandra Bland while she was in jail includes a conversation in which the black motorist says she’s “still just at a loss for words, honestly, at this whole process,” three days before she was found dead in her cell. “How did switching lanes with no signal turn into all of this?” she said to an unidentified friend. Although family members have said she sounded aggravated in other phone calls, Bland sounds calm in the voicemail.
