Vox Media Executive Fired Over Sexual Assault Allegations

An executive at Vox Media was fired this week over allegations of sexual assault. The company said that Lockhart Steele, the editorial director, admitted to “engaging in conduct that is inconsistent with our core values and will not be tolerated at Vox Media.” The move came after a former Vox employee, Eden Rohatensky, wrote in a Medium post last week that “one of the company’s VPs” sexually assaulted her in the backseat of a cab, without mentioning Steele’s name or Vox.
