Scott Brown declined an offer from Victoria Kennedy to host a debate between the Republican U.S. senator and his Democratic opponent, Elizabeth Warren. Brown was concerned about the forum being biased, saying he’d prefer a local media sponsor for their first debate. Now a Boston media consortium is offering to host an unbiased debate and Warren is game—she just needs to convince the senator to get on board. “Brown laid out his conditions for debate and under his own conditions, there is nothing to stop him from accepting a debate hosted by a wide variety of Massachusetts media—unless he really doesn’t want to talk about his record siding with Wall Street, big corporations, and millionaires.”
