James Franco has stretched himself in order to portray some wild characters in his day, from a tattooed fugazi crime lord named Alien in Spring Breakers to a meth dealer named Gator in Homefront, in theaters Friday.
This may be the biggest stretch yet.
In a video posted to Seth Rogen’s Facebook page Monday morning, Franco and his longtime pal Seth Rogen made a hilarious parody of Kanye West’s recent music video for “Bound 2,” featuring Franco as West and (a hairy) Rogen as Kim Kardashian.
A message introducing the video reads: “While on the set of their movie, The Interview, James Franco & Seth Rogen felt inspired to recreate their favorite new video. Shot. For. Shot.”
And indeed, it is a shot-for-shot remake of West’s ode to Kardashian, from Franco rapping and blue steel-ing to the camera in West’s multi-layered flannel getup to Franco and a shirtless, grizzled Rogen dry-humping on top of a motorcycle. The co-stars of Pineapple Express and Freaks and Geeks have really outdone themselves this time. It has to be seen to be believed:
