While most Marvel movies have been relatively family friendly, Deadpool is one of a small group of Marvel characters (Daredevil, Ghost Rider, The Punisher, Blade) with R-rated films. Deadpool fans would argue the amped-up sex, violence, and explicit language is crucial to capturing the anti-hero's dark humor. The foul-mouthed mercenary with accelerated healing powers is played by Ryan Reynolds, who gets an assist from Silicon Valley’s T.J. Miller.
The film is scheduled for release in early 2016.
