Wedding Bells on ‘Modern Family’?

With SCOTUS rulings, Cam and Mitchell might tie the knot.

Wait, Cam and Mitchell aren’t married? With civil unions once again legal in California following the Supreme Court’s DOMA ruling on Wednesday, Modern Family might have a wedding. Gay couple Cam and Mitchell have not yet had an on-screen commitment ceremony, but now with the opportunity for an actual legal bond in their state of residence, the show’s co-creator David Lloyd won’t rule it out. “It’s certainly something we are contemplating on the show in ways we wouldn’t have in prior seasons,” he told EW. A gay wedding would be “pretty tempting,” Lloyd said. The show’s fifth season begins in the fall, and only time will tell if other shows might follow suit, if this Modern wedding happens.
