Kenya’s election commission posted complete results early last Saturday showing that Kenyatta prevailed in the country’s presidential elections by the slimmest of margins, winning 50.03 percent of the vote.

A fire burns after a tugboat and barge hit a gas pipeline in Perot Bay, about 30 miles south of New Orleans. Coast Guard Cmdr. Russ Bowen said it appears the barge is intact and none of its cargo of crude oil was leaking, though there were patches of oily sheen in the area. The Coast Guard was investigating whether those sheens were related to the accident.

Meat is displayed for sale on a butcher’s stall in Smithfield Market. Officially named the London Central Markets, Smithfield has been the site of a livestock market since the 12th century. Its Victorian buildings, in the City of London, were designed by Sir Horace Jones, the City architect, and were completed in the 1860s. Developers have recently proposed a $242 million refurbishment of the derelict western end of Smithfield Market into an artisan food center known as Smithfield Quarter.

Madame Tussauds has announced that the world-famous wax attraction will immortalize the band by creating an individual wax figure of each member. The figures are being created in full cooperation with the band and will be part of a traveling exhibit that will launch in London on April 18 before traveling to New York, July 19–Oct. 11, and Sydney, Oct. 24–Jan. 28.
