Kim Cattrall was a burst of sunshine at the New York premiere of Sex and the City 2 on Monday night. In a body-hugging golden Naeem Khan deep-cut gown on both the back and the front, Cattrall showed off old Hollywood glamour and some serious skin—in a more elegant way than her character Samantha Jones normally would. The star shined in the embroidered look, and her Kimberly McDonald jewels added extra sparkle.

Cynthia Nixon’s fashion choices may not be as daring as those of Sex and the City 2’s characters, but the actress looked simply chic at the film’s New York premiere on Monday night. Her black strapless Carolina Herrera gown had a touch of sparkle thanks to a crystal leaf embellishment on the bust. Plus, the fit was absolute perfection.

After the New York premiere on Monday, Kristin Davis ditched the demure Charlotte York-esque look and went for the full-on glamazon with this glimmering vintage Pierre Balmain Couture dress from Decades as well. The ’60s haute couture number was the perfect party ensemble with its all-over sequins. Davis reworked her Fred jewels and Judith Leiber for the post-premiere festivities, but added custom-made strappy sandals by Rene Caovilla, making her the true diva of the evening.

Kim Cattrall went anti-flashy Samantha Jones at Thursday’s Sex and the City 2 U.K. premiere in a vintage style wrap black ’90s Thierry Mugler gown. But the details—one bust slightly higher than the other and a luminescent Fred Leighton brooch—are what made the look.

Cynthia Nixon kept it tame yet again at the Sex and the City 2 premiere in London on Thursday, but she did venture out of the darker color spectrum in her teal Narciso Rodriguez crepe gown. She also added length to her hair with some surprising extensions, mixing up her look a bit for the British fans.

The Sex and the City 2 premiere wasn’t the only quarter to watch in London on Thursday—at the afterparty at the Kensington Palace Orangery, Kristin Davis went for her fourth and final vintage look from Decades. Looking much more like her on-screen persona, Davis donned a 1956 Christian Dior Haute Couture cocktail dress in a beautiful deep shade of jade. She added some nude peep-toes and, yet again, a Judith Leiber clutch to complete her elegant ensemble.

Closing out the week in Sex and the City 2 fashion, Sarah Jessica Parker lost the McQueen gown and bold headgear for a tie-dye blue long-sleeve maxi dress that she paired with gold accessories. While the boho chic ensemble was far tamer, it did allow the actress to party the night away appropriately.
