To be fair, we’d be pretty embarrassed too. During an interview on Spanish-language channel Univision, New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner was asked why he chose a Hispanic name as his online moniker, which he used to maintain sexual relations with women online. “It was a joke in my life between me and one person. I’m not going to comment about the information,” Weiner replied, adding that whatever his ex-paramours said about him would not bother him. “They can do whatever they want. They can try to haunt me ... I’m moving forward and talking about the issues of NYC. If I’m strong enough to stand up to all these embarrassing questions, I can stand up and fight for them.” He did not address the second part of the interviewer’s question, however, which asked how dangerous Weiner really was.
