White House: No New Gulf Drilling

Suspends program until oil spill investigation.

Senior Obama adviser David Axelrod told Good Morning America Friday that the White House will not authorize additional oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico until the investigation of the exploded and sunken BP oil rig is complete and "we find out what happened here and whether there was something unique and preventable here." Last month, President Obama lifted the ban on offshore drilling and oil and gas exploration.
