Anderson Cooper and Sanjay Gupta weren't the only CNN-related good Samaritans: Network founder Ted Turner pledged $1 million to Haiti through the United Nations Foundation, and then, for good measure, helped evacuate fellow Atlantans off the island.

Pledged $1.5 million
With a brand-new baby and a husband out of the NFL playoffs, supermodel Gisele Bündchen must have her hands full. Still, she took some time out of her busy schedule to pledge $1.5 million to the Red Cross after seeing the destruction from the earthquake.

Organized and co-hosted "Hope for Haiti" telethon, from Los Angeles
George Clooney has been working tirelessly since the earthquake to organize this Friday's "Hope for Haiti" event. His publicist told People, "He's been on the phone for three days straight with almost no sleep." Clooney even skipped the Critics' Choice Awards to prepare for the telethon, the third he's been involved in recently.

Raised more than $2 million through Yéle Haiti charity; co-hosted "Hope for Haiti" telethon from New York
Despite questions about the financial status of his charity Yéle Haiti, as well as its experience in disaster relief, Wyclef Jean's high-profile activism on the part of his homeland has led thousands of people to donate via text message. The musician co-hosted the "Hope for Haiti" telethon along with George Clooney and Anderson Cooper, which will be simultaneously broadcast from Haiti, New York, and Los Angeles.

Pledged $1 million
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, two of Hollywood's foremost philanthropists, were quick to step in to help, donating $1 million to Doctors Without Borders through their Jolie-Pitt Foundation and flying in a "portable hospital" to help treat the wounded.

Hosting charity spin class
While her father and mother head up high-profile efforts to help Haiti from both within and outside government, Chelsea Clinton is stepping up to do her part with a unique philanthropic concept—a charity spin class. Anyone looking to get fit while helping those in need can purchase a "seat" at the 90-minute class, co-hosted by Clinton, for between $100 and $1,000.

Performing 72 straight hours of street magic to benefit the Red Cross
When you’re not sure of the best way to help out in a tragedy, why not just go with what you know? That’s what David Blaine is doing: The magician, who filmed a special in Haiti in 1999, performed a marathon 72 hours of street magic this weekend, soliciting donations for the Red Cross along the way.

Pledged $50,000; asked corporations to match
Actress Milano joined the hordes of Twittering celebrities encouraging donations by revealing she'd donated $50,000 to UNICEF and encouraging corporations to match her gift. Though no one has yet pledged that same amount, Milano has had success raising money on Twitter before, during a campaign for Charity Water, a clean-water nonprofit.

The recently reunited pop-punk band jumped into the charity mix by offering a special T-shirt on their Web site, featuring their rabbit mascot holding a Haitian flag. All proceeds from the shirt’s sale go to the Red Cross.

Auctioning off her Golden Globes gown for charity
House star Olivia Wilde visited Haiti in December to help build a school, which was, tragically, destroyed less than a month later in the devastating quake. To help raise funds to rebuild the island, the actress—along with fellow stars Meryl Streep, Josh Brolin, Gerard Butler, Amy Poehler, and Jenna Fischer—is auctioning off her Golden Globes outfit and directing all the proceeds to Artists for Peace and Justice, earmarked for the Haitian people.

Philadelphia 76ers center Samuel Dalembert may be the NBA's only native Haitian player, but he's making an outsize impact: Not only has the basketball star already pledged $100,000 to UNICEF, he also promised to match any contributions from fans that come in during this Friday's Sixers' game. What's more, Dalembert will be traveling back to his homeland with the charity group Project MediShare to help in the relief effort.

Where else would diehard basketball fan and UK alumna Ashley Judd be for a charity event beside Lexington? Judd contributed auction items—including a dinner for six to be hosted at her home—and helped raise $525,000, a figure that was matched by the local group Cal’s Pals for Haiti.
