Appearing Monday on Good Morning America, Jeremy Lin shot down rumors that he was set to go on a date with Kim Kardashian, saying he doesn’t think the reality-TV star is his “type.” But there are plenty of other single celebrities who might interest the 23-year-old Knicks phenom and Harvard graduate. Lin’s humility may be playing well with sports fans for the moment, but Americans will suffer modesty for only so long. There’s no one who could teach him how to grab the hearts, minds, and headlines of America like a Kardashian. Fresh from her break with the Nets’ Kris Humphries, Kim Kardashian may be on the hunt for a love interest to take under her wing. This one doesn’t seem likely, though, as Lin has already gone public to bat down rumors that he might be dating the reality star.

We can almost see a pairing between the soft-spoken hoops star and Zooey Deschanel happening, though the (500) Days of Summer star is nine years his senior. U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan, who knows Lin from their days at Harvard, has said in interviews that his advice to Lin is “no new friends.” But there’s no way the doe-eyed Deschanel could do Lin any harm. And her deadpan humor and ukulele playing would bring something to the Knicks cheering section, as well.

Moore’s had a rough go of it lately, separating from third husband Ashton Kutcher in 2011 and dropping out of a starring role to be hospitalized for what is rumored to be a struggle with drugs. Lin seems a mature 23, and a relationship with the 49-year-old Indecent Proposal star could be a mutually beneficial one. What others may see as baggage could be a bonus for Lin, who was sleeping on his brother’s couch before his breakout performance. He’s a family man at heart, and would have no problem winning the affection of Moore’s three children from her marriage to Bruce Willis.

Juliet needs her Romeo. Only a year younger than Lin, Taylor Swift knows what it’s like to experience sudden fame and face stadiums full of adoring fans. And, should the need ever present itself, the 6-foot-3 Lin could probably intimidate Kanye West.
Katy Perry’s parents, both of whom are Christian ministers, expressed an odd kind of relief after the pop sensation split with Russell Brand. Lin may have a better shot at getting the parental stamp of approval. A devout Christian, Lin called his pastor immediately after he led the Knicks to victory over the Nets on Feb. 4. He hasn’t mounted the Tim Tebow soapbox, however, and is said to keep his faith to himself in the locker room.

It’s Pippa’s turn, and what better way to throw herself out there than by having an affair with a tall, dashing American? Sure, there have been reports that she’s already dating some bloke with gobs of cash and a hereditary title, but Lin has so many punny headlines, they must be worth something. And Middleton was the star of her grade school’s netball team, which is, if the International Federation of Netball Associations can be trusted, a real sport.

It looked as if Vanessa and Kobe Bryant were reconciling when the two were photographed making out after the Lakers’ Valentine’s Day victory. But now it appears the kiss was a fleeting, heat-of-the-moment thing—Vanessa was shopping for apartments in New York City all weekend. Real-estate insiders told TMZ that Vanessa wouldn’t say whether she and her daughters were leaving Los Angeles and Kobe for good. But if she does settle on the East Coast, she could use a nice guy like Jeremy Lin to show her around his team’s hometown, after all she endured with Kobe.

Now that Olivia Munn is back on the singles market after splitting from New York Rangers star Brad Richards, Jeremy Lin could be a perfect rebound. The Parks and Recreation actress ended things with Richards in early January, and though the two dated only for a brief period, Richards and his teammates reportedly thought Munn was a good-luck charm during their winning streak. “Fans in the crowd kept high-fiving her after the win, and thanking her,” a source told the New York Post after a game in late December. Kim Kardashian might not be Lin’s type, but perhaps Munn is better suited to the Knicks star. They would share a common background—Munn is half-Chinese—and surely Lin would love to have a gorgeous good-luck charm rooting for him courtside.

A friend of Elin Nordegren’s confirmed to People in January that she’s “still dating” Dingman, but nothing is set in stone, which means there’s a chance that Nordegren could hook up with another “player.” As is often the case these days, we’re rooting for Lin.
