Why Am I Going Bald?

News from The Wall Street Journal: Men have long known to look to their mother's father for a clue as to their own scalp's fate. But it turns out that men whose fathers have male-pattern baldness are 2.5 times as likely to show it themselves, regardless of their maternal grandfather. Two sets of researchers, working independently, have identified a new gene associated with baldness that can be inherited from either your father or your mother. Researchers say baldness can only be slowed if it is treated early, so if dad's hair is looking thin, hit the Rogaine ASAP.
