Amidst rumors of Steele’s imminent ousting, the Washington Post’s Chris Cillizza lists five reasons why he will stay, including: “The last thing the party needs now is further chaos at the top”; As the party’s first African American chairman, “Pushing Steele aside just over a month into his tenure would send the exact wrong message about who the Republican Party is and where it's going”; and there aren’t really any better options.
