It sounds like a Saturday Night Live sketch, but turns out this is real: A Pakistani advertising company has created an ad campaign inspired by WikiLeaks. Billboards in Karachi read “WikiLeaks … Butterfly doesn’t,” advertising a popular feminine hygiene product. Although Pakistani advertising doesn’t normally dip into politics, some in the ad business said this was too good an opportunity to pass up. “We have received a huge response from the public and everyone has commended us on it,” said Syed Amjad Hussain, head of the business development at RG Blue Communications, which pitched the campaign.
