The window is open for Rahm Emanuel: Mayor Richard Daley of Chicago has announced that he will not run for re-election in 2011. Daley’s popularity has taken a dive recently, with more than half of Chicago voters saying they didn’t want to see him re-elected. Earlier this year, Emanuel said he would be interested in the mayor’s office of Chicago, so long as he did not have to run against Daley.
