Serena Williams won her fifth Wimbledon title, owning Poland’s Agnieszka Radwanska 6-1, 5-7, 6-2. It did not look like it was going to be much of a match after Williams beat Radwanska 6-1 in the first set, but Radwanska battled back to take the second set 7-5, and then went up 2-1 in the third before Williams rolled off five straight games to seal the victory. After closing out the match with a backhand winner, Williams let herself fall to the ground in her excitement—and, it can safely be assumed, relief. The victory gives Williams 14 Grand Slam titles.
