Another fast move by proponents of Gov. Scott Walker's union bill. Walker's administration abruptly locked protesters out of the Capitol on Monday, leaving 60 activists inside to protest the governor’s proposal to strip public employee unions of their collective bargaining rights. When Walker went back on his plan to remove demonstrators from the Capitol on Sunday night, many went home voluntarily, but when they returned on Monday, they were barred from entering. The administration has already banned sleeping bags and containers of food from the Capitol in what protesters say is an attempt to shrink the size of the demonstrations before Walker unveils his budget proposal on Tuesday.
