Wisc. Protesters Sleep Over at Capitol

Don’t mind the sticky floors: Wisconsin police allowed protesters to spend Sunday night at the Capitol, relenting on their earlier demand that they leave so they can clean the building after two weeks of constant protest. Hundreds of people remained inside the building after police backed off on their threat to arrest people who remained there after 4 p.m. Wisconsin Senate Democrats, meanwhile, are still camped out in Illinois. Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker reiterated his commitment to stripping Wisconsin public workers of their collective-bargaining rights on Sunday; the workers, who have already agreed to pay cuts, insist that collective bargaining is a fundamental right.
