A Wisconsin company that produces glassware embedded with bullets will give each of its employees a gun as a Christmas present, the Appleton Post-Crescent reports. The owner of BenShot, Ben Wolfgram, told the newspaper he decided to give the guns to his 16 full-time employees to “promote personal safety and team building.” Many employees, including military veterans and those who have never fired a gun, reportedly reacted positively to the gift. The newspaper reports that at least two employees initially declined the gift but are reconsidering the offer after taking a mandatory gun safety course. Despite recent mass shootings at a California bar and a Pittsburgh synagogue further igniting the national debate surrounding gun access, Wolfgram said he wasn’t worried about workplace violence at BenShot because the business is small and everyone knows each other. “For us, now, we have an entire armed staff,” he said. “I think that’s pretty good.”
