Woman Held in Box for Months Found Dead

GRISLY

Escaped then was killed.

Sandra Kay Sutton, who authorities say was held captive in a wooden box for four months by her ex-boyfriend, was found shot to death on Thursday along with her 17-year-old son. Sutton’s ex-boyfriend, James Barton Horn Jr., was charged with kidnapping earlier this month for holding Sutton captive in a wooden box in the home they shared in the town of Sedalia. She escaped and called police from a neighbor's home on April 30. Horn is “absolutely” a suspect in the double murder, according to police. Sutton and her son, Zachary Wade Sutton, were found dead in a relative’s home in Clinton, about 200 miles west of St. Louis.
