Yemeni Forces Kill Dozens

Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh doesn't seem to have rethought his approach during his three-month absence. Hours after Saleh's return, troops loyal to Saleh assaulted an encampment of protesters in the capital, killing at least 40, according to medical staff there. At least 52 protesters were also wounded. Elsewhere in the capital, 12 dissident solders were killed and 112 others were injured. When Saleh returned Friday, he said he wanted a truce. The United States called for Saleh to step down by the end of the year.
