The new Superman movie is officially going to suck: Warner Bros. has hired Zack Snyder, the director of all-style-no-substance films 300 and Watchmen, to direct the next Superman film. The studio also considered directors Darren Aronofsky, Ben Affleck, and Tony Scott. Most recently, Snyder directed Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole, which just opened. The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan will produce the film.
