While Apple was busy announcing its new, smaller iPad and super-thin MacBook Pro, Zynga was reportedly was busy announcing layoffs Tuesday. According to several reports, the online game company Zynga shut down its Sims knock-off The Ville and laid off employees in its Austin, Chicago, and Boston offices. The company’s stock, barely hovering above $2, closed down more than 6 percent today.
