An 84-year-old woman from Long Island claimed on Saturday she was strip-searched by TSA agents at JFK. Lenore Zimmerman claims she was taken to a private room and strip-searched after she attempted to forgo advanced image technology because she carries a defibrillator—she is ordinarily patted down when she makes the request. TSA spokesperson Kristin Lee disputes Zimmerman’s story. Lee said, “While we regret that the passenger feels she had an unpleasant screening experience, TSA does not include strip searches as part of our security protocols, and one was not conducted in this case.”
